About: I am a historian from St Mary’s College and I have been orienteering since before I can remember! I was British Champion many years ago but I now focus more on the coaching side of the sport, having coached a national junior squad for a couple of summers. I really want to share my love of orienteering, a sport which offers a unique mental and physical challenge and can take you to some amazing places!

About: I am a third year at van Mildert studying Geography. I started orienteering when I was in primary school. I am currently a member of Bristol Orienteerin Klub (BOK) and have been part of the South West Junior Squad.

Julie Emmerson

I am a second year physics student from Josephine Butler. I started orienteering when I was very young and I have been competing for Great Britain for the last few years. My biggest achievement is coming 11th in the middle distance race at the Junior World Orienteering Championships in 2014. I also do some coaching and am in the process of completing my UKCC level 2 coaching award.

About: Hey I’m Fran (st Mary’s), I came to orienteering through a running background aged 11. My biggest achievement is beating Julie (treasurer aka beast) in a relay or 2nd at the British Middles 2015. My favourite discipline is the sprint because it gives me less chance of getting lost. I also like banter starts at relays (first to the start kite).

About: I am a second year at Grey College studying Combined Honours in Social Sciences in Geography and Archaelogy. I started orienteering in February (2015) at BUCS! But I come from a background of competition in cross country and track and field.

About: I am a third year physicist from Trevs. I have been a keen fell runner for many years and decided to give orienteering a go when I started uni. I’ve enjoyed having an added mental challenge with my running and have been to lots of great places in the past two years!
